Cool Case Murray


At their first visit, Murray was treated for his Pancreatitis by Dr. Stacy Wylie of the NorthStar VETS Internal Medicine team. Dr. Wylie described the case. “Murray is an 8-year-old dog who presented to NorthStar VETS initially for vomiting, inappetence, and increased drinking and urination. He was diagnosed with pancreatitis (inflammation of the pancreas) and diabetic ketoacidosis (DKA), which is a life-threatening complication of diabetes mellitus.” Continue reading

Honoring Shannon


Shannon is a dog that came to the NorthStar VETS Oncology service on Christmas Eve of 2012 with lymphoma. She was 7 years old at the time and we started the standard CHOP chemotherapy protocol for her. NorthStar VETS Cool Case Fiona


Fiona presented to the Surgery team in Robbinsville in January as a 5-month-old female intact Boxer with a right forelimb angular limb deformity. She had an abnormal curvature of the right radius and ulna which was causing her limb to curve to the inside (carpal varus). She also had a shortened right forelimb due to the premature closure of her distal medial radial growth plate. Continue reading
