2016 Veterinary Emergency and Critical Care Society (VECCS) Level 1 Trauma Certification

A Level I emergency and critical care facility is a 24 hour acute care facility with the resources and specialty training necessary to provide sophisticated emergent and critical patient care. This facility is open to receive small animal emergency patients 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. The level I facility must have a Diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Emergency and Critical Care employed full time and available for consultation either on-site or by phone 24/7.

2018 Cat Friendly Practice Gold Level Status

The Cat Friendly Practice program is leading the movement to make veterinary care less stressful for cats and their caregivers. Established by the American Association of Feline Practitioners (AAFP) and the International Society for Feline Medicine (ISFM), the Cat Friendly Practice program is a global initiative designed to elevate care for cats by reducing the stress for the cat, caregiver, and also the entire veterinary team.

2021 Veterinary Heroes Award

This was the inaugural year for this award and was given to only eight veterinary professionals. Dr. Daniel Stobie, Chief of Staff at NorthStar VETS, received the award for Surgery and his leadership during the pandemic. Created by veterinary industry publisher DVM360, this award recognizes the highest contributions to animal health on a national level.
