Cassi McNulty

Cassi is a nine-year-old Shih Tzu that was diagnosed with an immune-mediated anemia in the beginning of 2013. She was in-and-out of the hospital for red blood cell transfusions for weeks because her body was destroying its own red blood cells. She needed these transfusions in order to keep her stable and give her medications time to work. It was a long couple of weeks for Cassi and her family, and she won the hearts of every person who had the privilege to help nurse her back to health.

Cassi had a strong will to recover and is now feeling better than ever! She is full of energy and passes all her recheck blood tests with flying colors.
